So to continue with our last story, we went to Maipu near Mendoza, where we rent a bike to follow the winery route...first we went to an olive oil factory to know about the process to make oil and then we continue to 2 wineries and after we visited a chocolates, liquors and marmelade factory where of course we could also taste everything...and they had literally every taste! finally we finished by the last bodega called Rural a quite big one.

The day after we took a bus to Bariloche, the beginning of the Lake District and Patagonia. In the bus we met the South African couple we earlier met in Rurrenabaque :p Funny! The landscape was beautiful, with a lot of snowy mountains... we stayed at a camping for 5 days 13km away from the city center next to aguna Nahuel Wapi, we walked the circuito chico 7 km to enjoy the landscape. Heading more South the weather was getting colder and cloudier, so we probably have the same weather now as in Europe ;-) No more sun for us :-( In Bariloche we saw lot of people with skis and snowboards because at 13 km from the center there was a Ski resort, Cerro Cathedral. We decided to go there just for curiosity...the atmosphere was really cool, like a winter holiday :-D

On 27 of september we took a bus to go to Esquel and before the bus got away we met another (Swiss) couple which we also met earlier in San Pedro :-)...there we planned to go skiing ourselves :-D We arrived around 20h and we went to a camping. The day after we informed about renting skis and equipment...and on monday morning the combi arrived to bring us to the ski station, here it's the end of the season and there were not so many people and it was easier for Wietse and me as for me the last time was 14 years ago and Wietse skied once last year...Anyway..Wietse will be my instructor of course. All the morning we practiced and in the afternoon ready for a blue piste yeah :-D...The day after, no more practicing, we were both ready to go to the blue pistes, and even in the end of the afternoon we did a red one...What a good instructor this Wietse :-P But of course we were really tired after these days and we finished with a deserved Argentinian Parilla with German (from Buenos Aires) which we met on the camping.

The 1st of october we took a bus to Comodoro Rivadavia and from there we decided to stay all the day in the bus station to wait for the night bus to Rio Gallegos. Upon arrival in Rio Gallegos, we continued the same day to El Calafate where we arrived in the end of the afternoon. We put our tent in this cold city and the day after we went to see the magnific and huge Perito Moreno Glacier. That day was snowing, raining and lot of wind, but we waited all the day to see a big ice part falling down from the glacier.

On tuesday the 7th of october we followed a bit Jeroen en Marijn´s footsteps (friends from Wietse´s club) as took the bus to Puerto Natales in Chili to go to the National Park Torres del Paine. In the city we enjoyed a really good night in an hostal (that was quite a long time ago! Since Mendoza we only camped ;-) ) That evening we decided to do 5 days trekking in Torres del Paine and we let the majority of our stuff in the hostal and we left with our backpack, some food for 5 days and our tent! We took a bus to the national park where we planned to do the 'W' circuit but to start from the end (Laguna Pehoe) so we took the catamaran on this lagune and put our tent, around 14h we went to climb to see Laguna and Glacier Grey with Rhydian (From Wales) which we met in the bus...that was beautiful. We came back around 20h in the evening, in total it was something in total 7h walking.
The second day we had to walk with our bags for 2h30 to arrive to the Campamente Italiano, where we put our tent, left our bags and walk up to the Vallee Frances where the landscape is really amazing! It was a hard and long way and we were actually really tired at the end of the day. The following day was the hardest...from the camping site we had to walk 7h with our big backpack to finally arrive the end of the afternoon to Campamento Las Torres, our last part of the 'W'. After this long way we were really exausted and we just realxed and enjoy a really nice shower :-D
On saturday the 11th we climbed up the Torres, unfortunately when we finally arrived at the viewpoint it was too much cloudy and we almost couldn't see the Torres itself, but we could say that after this 4 days, the last one was finally the hardest one because it's really steep to climb to the towers! we came back really quick and on the way we met Linda (Dutch) and Peter (Canadian) a really nice couple. We came back to the camping where a refugio was also and we went to have a drink with them and Rhydian but also John and Abraham (I'm sorry if it's not the good writing :-S) and we had a really good time together!

On the following morning we took a bus back to Puerto Natales and in the evening we went to eat a big hamburger with all the group as our last night. On the 13th we took a bus to Punta Arenas (transition point) to continue to Ushuaia. However all the buses going on tuesday and wednesday were full, so we stay here untill thursday.
As it was not possible to camp, we are staying in a really nice place called Hostal Independencia where Eduardo, the host, is really nice with us. We bought our tickets to Ushuaia and we will tell more about there later on! ;-P

Hola tout le monde!

Nous continuons donc avec notre dernière histoire, nous sommes allés a Maipu a Mendoza ou nous avons loué des VTT pour faire la route des vins...tout d'abord nous sommes allés dans une fabrique d'huile d'olive ou nous avons eu toute une explication sur comment l'huile est fabriquée puis nous avons visité 2 bodegas et une fabrique de chocolats, liqueurs et confitures ou biensur nous avons tout essayé :-)...puis nous avons terminé par une bodega appelée Rurale qui fut assez grande.

Le jour d'après nous avons pris le bus en direction de Bariloche, le top de la Patagonie, le paysage etait magnifique, avec beaucoup de montagnes enneigées...nous sommes restés dans un camping situé a 13 km du centre pendant 5 jours juste a coté du grand lac Nahuel Huapi. Nous avons fait le circuit chico de 7km a pied pour apprecié le joli paysage. Dans le village nous pouvions voir beacuoup de gens dans la rue marchant avec les combinaisons de skis et les skis et snowboards dans les bras car a 13km du centre il y a la station de ski Cerro Catedral. Nous avons par curiosité decidé d'alelr faire un tour just pour voir...L'atmosphere etait super, commes des vacances au ski ;-)

Le 27 septembre nous avons pris un bus pour Esquel...las bas, nous avions prevu de skier :-D. Nous sommes arrivés vers 20h et nous avons directement été dans le camping El Mochilero, le jour d'apres nous nous sommes renseignés sur les prix pour louer le materiel et l'entree de la station.... le lundi matin nous etions avec notre equipement dans le combi qui nous emmenait à la station de ski. Comme c'etait la fin de saison il n'y avait pas beaucoup de gens et donc c'etait plus facile pour nous car nous sommes debutant...par exemple moi la derniere fois j'avais 10 ans!!! et Wietse sa premiere fois etait l'année derniere...bref...comme il se rappelait de ses cours, il est devenu mon instructeur de ski :-) Toute la matinée nous avons donc pratiqué sur la partie facile et l'après-midi nous etions prets pour une piste bleue! c'etait tellement cool que nous avons decider d'y retourner le elndemain...et plus de pratique...c'etait direct la piste bleue puis dans l'aprem la piste rouge!!! quel bon prof ce Wietse! :-D. Nous etions très fatigués apres ces 2 jours!

Le 1er octobre nous avons pris un bus a Comodoro Rivadavia et de la nous avons decidé de rester toute la journée dans la station de bus pour prendre le meme jour un bus de nuit pour Rio Gallegos. lorque nous sommes arrivés a Rio Gallegos, le meme jour nous avons pris un bus pour El Calafate ou nous sommes arrivés en fin d'après-midi, nous avons posé notre tente dans cette ville ou il fait très froid et le jour d'après nous sommes allés voir le magnifique et immense glacier Perito Moreno. Ce jour la il faisait tres froid, il neigait et pleuvait, mais nous sommes restés jusqu'a 15h30 pour voir des blocs de glaces tomber du glacier dans la lagune.
Le mardi 7 octobre nous avons pris un bus a Puerto Natales au Chili pour aller visiter le parc national de Torres del Paine. La nous avons apprecié une bonne nuit dans un lit a l'hostal (ça faisait bien longtemps) et nous avons decidé de partir pour 5 jours en trekk dans le parc national, nous avons laissé la majorité denos affaires a l'hostal , nous avons acheté à manger pour 5 jours et nous avons pris notre tente!
De Puerto Natales nous avons pris un bus pour le Parc National, nous avions prévu de faire le circuit du 'W' a partir de la fin (laguna Pehoe) donc nous avons pris le catamarran jusqu'a la lagune ou nous y avons posé notre tente. Vers 14h nous sommes partis avec Rhydian (un gars rencontré dans le bus) pour monter au glacier Grey. Le paysage etait superbe, nous somems retournés au camping vers 20h, nous avons marché environ 7h!
Le jour suivant nous avons marché avec nos backpack sur le dos pendant 2h30 jusqu'au camping Italiano, de la nous avons mangé et sommes montés a la Vallee Frances ou je dois dire le paysage etait vraiment superbe! ce fut une marche difficile et longue et nous etions tres fatigués de cette journée. Le lendemain fut un jour encore plus difficile car nous avons marché avec nos backpack sur le dos pendant 7h pour finalement arriver au camping la Torres la derniere partie du 'W'. Après cette longue route nous etions super crevés et nous nous sommes relaxés et avons apprecié une super douche :-D
Le samedi 14 octobre nous sommes montés aux fameuses tours, malhereusement en arrivant au point de vue il y avait trop de nuages et du coup nous n'avons pas pu voir grand chose, mais nous pouvons dire qu'apres ces 4 jours le dernierefut vraiment le plus dur car la montée aux tours est vraiment tres difficile! nous sommes retournés au camping en moins de temps que nous avions fait le trajet, sur le chemin nous avons rencontré Linda (hollandaise) et Peter (Canadien) un super couple! Lorsque nous sommes rentrés nous avons pris un verre ensemble avec Rhydian et aussi John et Abraham, c'etait vraiment tres sympa!
Le matin suivant nous avons pris un bus pour retourné à Puerto Natales et le soir nous nous sommes tous retrouvés pour manger un super gros hamburger! avant de nous separer.
Le 13 nous avons pris un bus en direction de Punta Arenas (Chili) pour continuer sur Ushuaia, cependant arrivés dans la ville les bus etaient tous complets jusqu'a jeudi, du coup nous avons reservé nos billets pour jeudi et comme il n'etait pas possible de camper dans cette ville nous avons decider de rester à l'hostal Independencia ou Eduardo est vraiment tres gentil.
