As planned we took a bus to pass the Bolivian side to go to Copacabana (with the company COLECTUR, really good company)We left early in the morning and later we registered at the migration, we exchanged money from soles to bolivianos...and when we arrived as usual we searched for an hotel (we were still with Aurore and Olivier). The streets there were really dirty, lot of pollution, people were not really taking care of their city...but however, we found untill now bolivian people nicer than peruvian (regarding our experience)

In the afternoon we went to th market, we bought some vegetables to prepare ourselves our diner in the small kitchen of the hotel. The guys went to the view point to the the sunset on the Titicaca lake and we (Aurore and me) started to prepare the food...(of course the guys helped us when they came vack) that was great to cook, however we had an electricity cut, then we cooked in the dark with candles, that was really funny and unexpected, then for the dessert I cooked some french crepes...We ate as royalties! We stayed one night in this hotel for 25 bolivianos per person (2.5 euros per person) and the day afer we came back to the market where I bought a really nice and warm jacket for 90 bolivanos (less than 10 euros!)and around 11h30 we took a bus to the capital LA PAZ...unexpected road because after 2h30 driving we had to cross the Titicaca lake, so everybody went out of the bus and we jumped in a small motor boat and also the bus had is own transportation, then after like 15 min we entered in the bus again and continued our route to la Paz. we stayed in the hotel Torino next to the plaza San Fransisco (where the governement is) for 80 bolivianos a night

On Sunday the 10th of augusut we couldn't do anything because of the referendum about the president, everything was closed! We took advantage of internet only in the morning. Then we tried to find a place to eat...Brosso good food and not expensive. In the evening , as we were next to the governement place, they were lot of people, we decided to go and see, lot of people had thos bolivian flag and banners with 'EVO MORALES...SI' (who is the president of course) then we did the same, that was funny, then he had a short talk...and we came back to sleep in the hotel.

On monday, we informed to the tourism information, and in the afternoon with Wietse we visited the 'vallee de la luna', in summary, we spent 7 days in la La Paz to relax and informed about what we could do.

The 13th of august we took an organized tour in the amazonia with INDIGENA TOUR for 3 days and 2 nights. After few researches on internet we decided to go by plane and no by bus because we read that the bus is 18 hours and the road is not really good.

Then the 15th of august, we arrived in the airport to take a really small plane (19 persons) in the morning at 8h40 (normally the plane had to leave at 6h15 but due to apparently too much cloud the pilot wanted to wait, however that was not handy because we organised the tour the same day...) Finally we arrived in Reyes airport instead of Rurrenabaque airport due to some works on the landing pist, but then we had to take a taxi for 20 bolivanos each for 30 min to go back to Rurrenabaque (we were not really happy with it). Finally a guide was waiting for us in the indigena office and we left 1 hour late for the tour)
We had a huge temperature changes when we arrived in Reyes, 'cause we left la Paz with 15 degres and we arrived in the amazon with 40 degres!!!! pfwaaa! we had the impression to be in a hammam!

After a problem with the jeep, we finally arrived in the amazon's river where we took a canoe for 2h30 to arrive to the ecolog (where we had to sleep), the weather was extremely warm but on the canoe it was really nice; on the way we saw a lot of alligators, turtles and birds, but also kapibara, monkeys and pink dolphins.

Then we arrived in the ecolodge, we had a diner, and after that in the dark, we took back the canoe to observe from the boat with our front lamp the eyes of the alligators...that was really great and after 30 min we came back to the ecolodge, we played volleyball, had a drink, a nice cold shower, because it was soooo warm!

The day after we woke up around 7h to breakfast (the food was really good) and then we went on the canoe to go to hunt the anaconda and cobra!...we walked in the pampa for 40 minutes, it was already really warm! and then we arrived in the kind of small forest to find the snakes, however they were really difficult to find! and after 1h we saw was running from the river to the pampa, but we could find it back, it was gone (it was an anaconday, really long I can say!) we continued our researches to finally find a cobra! the guide took it and everybody took a picture,we let it go and then after few minutes we found an anaconda! we were really lucky!!! then I took the anaconda from the tail, nothing comparing to the cobra, this one was really strong and it even tried to roll around my hand (but it was not possible anyway) after this great adventure we went back to the canoe, we walked like around 30 min, the temperature was already so hight, we had the impression that we were walking for 1 hour! We came back to the ecolog to eat and in the afternoon we went to swim wth the pink dolphins, I mean...not only pink dolphins but also alligators, piranas ans all the other things we couldn't see underwater! after we went to a mirador to see the sunset and we came back to the ecolodge to eat and sleep.

The last day, we woke up really early to see the sunrise, it was really nice, and afer that we had a breakfast and we went to fish the pirana!!! COOL!!!!!! we got 10 piranas!

it was quite easy to do finally, and then we came back to the ecolodge to eat what we fished, not so bad!
In the afternoon we jumped in the canoe to take a jeep to go back to Rurrenabaque, after 1h30 we had a problem with jeep and then we had to go with other jeeps to finish the trip to Rurrenabaque.

When we arrived finally there we heared from indigena that they were some problems with the flights, then we went directly to amazonas company to know, and they announced us that we couldn't take the flight planned the day afer

(monday 18 august at 18h) but one on the 19th, however we could get anymoney in that city, luckely we had some dollars for emergency cases to be able to pay a 2nde night in the hotel El Balsero (good hotel for 50 bolivianos a night with private bathroom, TV and ventilator). After a long day in the amazonas office triyng to find solutions, they explained us that due to a strike only 2 flights will go to la Paz on the 19th at 16h30 (the company didn't make any effort to give us any compensation! they were not helpful!) We finally arrived with the first flight in La Paz around 17h15 and we came back to the hotel Torino where we were before.

In the evening as we found back our friends Aurore and Olivier (coincidence) we went to eat together...during the diner I discovered a tic stuck in my back...I mean I didn't know what was it and I tried to get it out without any problem...when I saw it was a tic I was completely stressed, I became white! (luckely, I got it with the head!) then when we came back to the hotel we checked with Wietse if we didn't have more, and we slept.

This morning, after the shower Wietse discovered a really tiny tic on his belly...then We took the pincet we bought specially for it and we put it away! Disgusting! but everything is ok luckely; we spent 3 great days in the amazon! Bolivia is great! we love it and until now people are really nice and helpfull!!!!

From tomorrow we go probably to a new great adventure...

Comme prévu nous avons pris un bus pour passer la frontière bolivienne afin d'arriver à la ville de Copacabana (avec la compagnie COLECTUR, très bonne compagnie de bus) nous sommes partis tot le matin et nous nous sommes enregistré à la frontière, nous avons echangé notre monnaie péruvienne en monnaie bolivienne...puis arrivés à COPACABANA nous avons ete chercher un hostal tous les 4 (Aurore et Olivier avec nous). Les rues etaient déguelasses, beaucoup de pollution, les gens ne prennent pas soin de leur ville...mais en revanche, nous les avons trouvé plus aimables et agréables que les péruviens (selon notre experience).

L'après midi nous avons ete au marché, nous avons acheté des legumes pour se faire a manger dans la petite cuisine de l'hostal et le soir les gars sont monté au mirador, pour pouvoir apprecier le coucher du soleil sur le lac Titicaca et nous (Aurore et moi) avons commencé à faire la cuisine...(biensur les gars nous ont rejoins et aidés) qu'est ce que c'etait agréable, cependant nous avons eu une coupure d'electricité alors on a fait ça dans le noir, c'etait vraiment marrant, puis en dessert on a preparer des crepes...on s'est regalés!Nous sommes restés une nuit dans cet hostal pour 25 boliviens par personnes (soit 2.5 euros par personne) puis le lendemain nous avons ete au marché et je me suis acheté une très jolie veste très chaude pour 90 boliviens (soit un peu moins de 10 euros) puis à 11h30 nous avons pris un bus direction la capitale...LA PAZ...la route etait surprenante, car après 2h30 de route nous avons tous du descendre du bus car il fallait traverser le lac titcaca pour rejoindre le continent, nous avons donc pris un bateau a moteur pour nous emmener de l'autre coté du lac et le bus de son coté à aussi traver dans un grand bateau plat! puis une fois la traversée faite, nous sommes remontés dans le bus pour 1h30 de routepour La PAZ. Enfin nous voila arrivés...nous avons marché jusqu'a l'hotel Torino (80 boliviens la nuit) tout près de la plaza San Fransisco ou se trouve le gouvernement.

Le dimanche 10 aout il n'y avait rien a faire a cause du referéndum, tout etait fermé! Nous avons pu profiter d'internet le matin seulement. Puis pour manger ça a été la galère mais nous avons trouver un resto super genial BROSSO pas cher et delicieux. Le soir, comme nous restions a l'hotel a coté du gouvernement, les rues etaitent très animées, nous sommes alors aussi allé voir...il y avait plein de gens avec les drapeaus boliviens, des pancartes ecrites 'EVO MORALES...SI' (le president biensur) nous avons donc fait de meme, c'etait marrant, puis il a fait un discours...puis nous sommes rentrés tranquillement a l'hotel.

Le lundi, nous sommes allés nous informer finalement au point d'information toursitique, puis l'aprem Wietse et moi sommes allés visiter 'la vallée de la luna'...pour resumer nous sommes restés en tout et pour tout 7 jours a la Paz afin de se relaxer et prendre des informations sur ce qu'il y avait a faire.

Le 13 aout nous avons donc pris un tour organizé dans l'amazoniepour 3 jours et 2 nuits. Apres plusieurs recherché sur internet nous avons decider de prendre l'avion car le bus etait 18h de route et la route pas très confortable.

Le vendredi 15 aout, nous avons donc pris un petit avion à hélice (19 personnes) le matin à 8h40 (nous aurions du normalement partir a 6h15, mais selon le pilot le temps etait trop nuageux, il a donc voulu attendre, ce qui n'etait pas très pratique pour nous car nous avions prévu le tour pour le meme jour...) Finalement nous sommes arrivés a Reyes au lieu de Rurrenabaque car soit disant ils travaillaient sur la piste, il nous a donc fallu prendre un taxi jusqu'a Rurrenabaque pour 20 bolivianos chacun (nous etions très mecontents). Heureusement un guide nous attendait tous à l'office et nous sommes partis avec 1h de retard pour le tour.
Nous avons assisté a un enorme changement de temperature...nous sommes partis de la Paz avec 15 degrés et en descendant de l'avion il faisait 40 degrés!!!!!!!!! Pfoua! On se serait crus dans un hammam!

Nous sommes finalement arrivés (après un panne de jeep) à la rivière amazonniene ou nous avons pris un canoe pendant 2h30 pour arriver à l'ecolog (la ou nous devions dormir) le temps etait super chaud, mais agréable en bateau, sur le chemin nous avons croisé beaucoup d'alligators, de tortues et d'oiseaux, nous avons meme vu des kapibara, des singes ainsi que des dauphins roses.

Puis nous sommes arrivés vers 18h00 à l'ecolodge, nous avons pris le diner, puis dans le noir nous sommes partis avec nos lampes sur le bateau afin d'observer les yeux des alligators dans le noir..c'etait super cool, ils sont tous si près de nous, et nous n'avions meme pas peur!
Puis nous sommes retournés a l'ecolodge après 30 min et nous avons fait une partie de volleyball.Nous avons bu un coup et vers 10h30 nous sommes allés prendre une bonne douche froide, bah oui il fait tellement chaud, même à rien faire on transpirait!

Le lendemain nous nous sommes reveillés vers 7h pour prendre le petit dej' vers 7h30 (la nourriture était delicieuse!) puis nous avons pris le canoe pour aller chasser les anacondas et cobras...nous avons marché dans la pampa pendant environ 40 min, il faisait deja très chaud! puis nous sommes arrivés dans une espèce de forêt ou nous nous sommes mis a chercher les serpents, cependant ils etaient très difficile à trouver puis après environ 1h nous en avons vu un sortir de l'eau et se diriger vers la pampa, malheureusement nous avons pas pu le retrouver (c'etait surement un anaconda, assez long je dois dire!) puis nous avons continuer nos recherches pour finalement trouver un cobra! les guides l'on attraper et nous avons tous fait une photo avec, puis quelques minutes après un guide a trouvé un anaconda! nous etions chanceux!!!! et j'ai pris l'anaconda par la queue, rien a voir avec le cobra, il essayait de m'entourer la main avec sa queue! c'etait très fort! puis nous sommes retourner au canoe, la chaleur etait très intense, nous avons marché pendant 30 min, nous avions l'impression que ça faisait plus d'une heure! enfin nous sommes retourné a l'ecolodge pour manger et l'aprem nous avons ete nager avec les dauphins roses, enfin pas que les dauphins je dois dire, mais aussi les alligators ainsi que les piranas et toutes les autres choses qu'on ne pouvait pas voir! puis nous avons ete dans un mirador afin d'assister au coucher du soleil.Puis nous sommes retourner pour manger et nous coucher.

Le lendemain, dernier jour, nous nous sommes levé très tot pour voir le lever du soleil, c'etait super chouette, puis nous avons filé à la peche aux piranas!!! COOL!!!!! nous avons pecher 10 piranas!

c'etait assez facile finalement, et puis nous sommes rentrés pour gouter à notre peche, pas si mal le pirana! puis l'aprem nous sommes retournés au canoe, afin de reprendre une jeep pour revenir à Rurrenabaque.1h30 de route dans la jeep puis elle tombe en panne...nous avons donc ete escortés par d'autre jeep pour finir le voyage a Rurrenabaque.

De retour a Rurrenabaque nous avons appris qu'i y avait des problemes avec les vols, nous sommes donc allés nous renseigner auprès de la compagnie, ils nous ont donc annoncé qu'on ne pouvait pas prendre l'avion prévu le lendemain

(cad le 18 aout a 18h) mais celui du 19 aout, cependant il n'y avait aucun guichet automatique, pour nous il n'etait pas possible d'avoir de l'argent, heureusement nous avions garder des dollars en cas d'urgence, nous les avons donc echangés afin d'avoir assez d'argent pout payer une nuit de plus dans l'hotel El Balsero (bon hotel pour 50 bolivianos pour la nuit avec salle de bains privé, télé et ventilateur au plafond). Apres avoir passer casiment toute la journée dans le bureau de la compagnie AMAZONAS sans solution, ils nous ont tous expliquer qu'il n'y aurait que 2 vols le 19 aout, pour cause de greve, heureusement nous etions dans le premier vol à 16h30 (la compagnie n'a fait aucun effort pour nous dédommager! nous ne recommandons pas cette compagnie! ils n'ont ete d'aucune aide!) puis nous sommes finalement arrivés à la Paz le 19 aout vers 17h15 et nous sommes retournés dans le même hotel TORINO ou nous etions avant.

Le soir comme par le pur hasard nous avons retrouvé nos amis francais Aurore et Olivier et nous sommes allés manger ensemble...pendant le repas j'ai decouvert un tic accroché dans mon dos...ça m'a tetanisé mais je l'ai enelvé sans soucis (jveux dire...avec la tete! lol, heureusement) puis le soir avec Wietse on a regardé si on n'en avait pas d'autre...et nous nous sommes coucher.

Ce matin, apres la douche Wietse a decouvert un mini tic sur le coté de son ventre...du coup nous avons pris une pince qu'on avait acheté expès pour ça et nous l'avons enlevé! quelle horreur ce truc! m'enfin...tout est bien qui fini bien, nous avons passés 3 jours incroyables! La Bolivie est super! on adore et les gens sont très gentils!!!!Et d'ici demain nous partons surement pour une nouvelle grande aventure...
