Some news after the north of Peru...

We took for the first time a night bus from CHACHAPOYAS to CHICLAYO (a little bit more to the west coast ), we paid 45 soles (15 dollars) per person for 9 hours driving, the bus was really comfortable and well secured MOVIL TOURS (was the company) is one of the more famous regarding the security, so we were not really worried. We arrived then in Chiclayo around 4h30 in the morning, but as it was really early, we waited in the bus station until 7h to go to an hostal, we went to ostal Lido / hospedaje san lucas which was recommended by our friends Aurore and Olivier (the 2 french we met in Chachapoyas) from there we went to inform to visit the tumbes of Sipan and the museum. At 10h the ame day we were already in the bus with a tour operator direction Sipan, tucume and the museum (unfortunately no pictures).
After one night in the hostal in the morning we went to a market where you could find this shaman plants, rituals (wonder doctors) and we took a bus in early afternoon to Trujillo. The day after we left in the morning to visit the Chan-Chan site and in the afternoon we stayed in the hostal on internet.
The day after we planned to go to visit HUACA DE LA LUNA, however this morning I felt sick (vomit all the morning, and Wietse the night after...)
Then we went there the day after, we also visited the beach Huanchaco and in the evening we took another night bus direction Huaraz.

In HUARAZ, when wearrived in the morning we met in the same hostal (LA CABAÑA) 1 belgiun couple;Tim and Kaat, and 1 dutch; Jessica and Vincent (all 4 students) Then we spent the few next days together. In the afternoon we went together to the hot springs (not so warm comparing to Baños (Ecuador)and a bit disgusting)
The morning after we took an organised tour all 6 to do mountain biking from 4750 meters (I say we, but only Wietse and the others because that day I was sick, yeah again!...I had to stay in the car all the day, I went down from 4750 meters but not with the bike :-( from that day, I stayed sick for 3 days... problems with the altitud changes and different food...then we had a late regarding our plan, but when I felt beter we went to visit the ruins of Wilcahuain, we had a great guide of 12 years old, unbelievable, he was already a professional!

The day after we took an organised tour to go to chavin complex. On the road we stoped to Querococha lagune 3900 meters and then in the afternoon we visited the complex of chavin, unbelievable!

In Thursday 16th of july we took a night bus with our belgium friends to the capital LIMA, arrived there around 5h in the morning we waited in the bus station together, we had to find an hostal and Tim and Kaat had to wait 13h to take a flight to PUNO; then we said goodbye to each other and we went to the hostal Excalibur. We spent 2 nights in LIMA, we visited the beach (really cool) and the city; it's really touristic and quite expensive, but a little bit of luxury sometimes is really nice to have!
On the 20th of july wedid a round in the city, that day was a kind of fiesta in the city, and in the begining of the afternoon we took a bus direction ICA, after 2 hours waiting in an area because of the paper control from the police we arrived in the oasis of Huacachina around 19h30. The morning after we rented sand boards from the hostal and we climbed the dune to have some fun! :-) and around 13h30 we took a bus to Nazca.

we arrived in Nazca around 15h30, we looked for an hostal and then we did a round in the small but nice city of Nazca, we also informed about the prices to take a flight to seethe famous Nazca's lines, but unfortunately 90 dollars were a bit too much for our wallet, then we decided to take another option, then the day after we went on a tour to visit the cimentery of the mummies, the aqueducs and the big walls of Inka ruins; when we came back around 13h,I found a women in the street who was making bracelets, and different kind of had craft, then she asked a kind of extention the her hair (see the pictures). After that we went on our own to see 2 nazca's lines from a tour, that was still this instead of the flight.
In the evening we found back our friends Jessica and Vincent (the dutch couple from Huaraz) we decided to eat together before taking a night bus in direction of Arequipa.

We finally arrived in Arequipa in the morning around 8h30, a taxi dropped us at the plaza de armas (yeah, in every city the main place is called plaza de armas) then after having found an hostal we visited a bit the center of the city, beautful...full of tourists!!!!! like french peole in every corner, that's unvelievable! Then we ate twice in the afternoondelicious ice creams

We went also to inform about a trekk in the colca canyon for 2 days, but the prices are also quite expensive,we are in the high season now! then we decided to go on our own tomorrow (on friday 25th of july) to see the canyon and also condors!
Oh! and we met in the corner of the plaza our friends Aurore and Olivier ( the french people we met in chachapoyas) we were really happy to have seen them, they left yesterday to Cuzco, then we will probably meet them in few days there!
Here the weather is beautiful, really warm during the day (the sun is really strong) and around 18h it's getting really cold.
This morning (thursday 25 of July)we went to visit the monastery of Santa Catalina, really cool place, and we visited also the museum of the princess of the ice (mummy really well conserved because she was found frozen in the high mountain)

Un peu de nouvelles depuis la dernière fois...

Nous avons pris pour la première fois un bus de nuit de CHACHAPOYAS à CHICLAYO (un peu plus dans l'ouest), nous avons payé 45 soles (15 dollars) pour 9 heures de route, le bus etait tres confortable et très securisé Movil tours est l'une des entreprises de transport la plus renomée pour sa sécurité, donc on ne s'est pas inquietés. Nous sommes donc arrivés a destination a 4h30 du mat' nous avons attendu 7h du mat' pour aller chercher un hostal, nous en avons trouvez un super sympa (hostal lido / hospedaje san lucas) recommendé par Aurore et Olivier (les 2 français que nous avons rencontré). De là nous avons ete nous renseigner pour visiter les tombes du Seigneur de SIPAN et le musée. Nous sommes donc partis dans la foulée a 10h pour une journée entière; nous avons donc vu les tombes du seigneur SIPAN, TUCUME ainsi que le musée.
Apres une nuit a l´hostal nous sommes partis en direction de TRUJILLO, le lendemain matin nous avons visité 'Chan-Chan' et l' aprem nous sommes restés à l'hostal sur internet.
Le lendemain nous avions prevu d' aller visiter Huaca de la luna; cependant j'ai ete malade toute la journée (vomi toute la matinée, puis le tour de Wietse pendant la nuit)...
Nous y sommes donc allés le lendemain, nous avons egalement visité la plage deHuanchaco, puis le soir pris le bus de nuit en direction de HUARAZ.

A HUARAZ nous avons rencontré 1 couple belge; Timet Kaatet 1 couple hollandais Jessica et Vincent ;tous les 4 étudiants (nous sommes arrivés dans le meme hostal 'la cabaña'), du coup on a passé notre sejour a Huaraz ensemble. L'aprem de notre arrivée, nous sommes allés dans les HOT SPRINGS...c'etait pas genial, lol l'eau etait pas si chaude et elle etait en plus deguelasse...rien a vois avec Baños (Equateur). Le lendemain nous avons pris un tour organisé à 6 pour faire du VTT a 4750 metres d'altitude (enfin je dis nous...seulement Wietse et les autres...bah oui encore malade...diarhee toute la journee, mal de ventre pas possible, je suis restée allongée dans la voiture toute la journée...po cool) ouais en gros j'ai ete malade 3 jours...bah oui les problèmes de changement de nourriture, l'altitude...du coup ça nous a retardé un peu sur notre voyage...lorsque je me suis sentie mieux, nous avons ete visiter les ruines de Wilcahuain, nous avons eu un super guide de 12 ans, j'ai jamais vu ça, il a fait son boulot comme un pro!

Le jour d'après nous avons ete visiter le temple de CHAVIN, aussi super interessant, en bus nous nous sommes arretés a la lagune de querococha 3900 metres d'altitude, puis l'aprem visit du temps, c'etait super!

Le jeudi 16 juillet nous avons pris le bus de nuit avec nos amis belges en direction de la capitale de Lima. Arrivés à 5h nous avons attendu tous ensemble dans la station de bus, nous devions chercher un hostal et Kaatje et Tim avait un avion en direction de PUNO a 13h, du coup nous nous sommes dit aurevoir et nous sommes partis à l'hostal Excalibur. De la nous avons passé 2 nuits, nous avons visité la ville, la plage (magnifique), c'est très touristique, et assez cher, mais bon, un peu de luxe de temps en temps ça fait pas de mal!
Dans la journée du 20 juillet nous avons ete faire un tour dans la ville, il y avait une sorte de fete; puis nous avons pris un bus en direction de la ville d'ICA vers 13h30, après une longue attente de 2h à cause d'un controle de papier du chauffeur, nous sommes arrivés a l'oasis de Huacachina vers 19h30.Le lendemain matin nous avons fait de la planche de sable (desolé pour la traduction)(sand board), on s'est bien marrés et vers 13h30 nous avons pris un bus pour Nazca.

Nous sommes arrivés à Nazca vers 15h30, nous avons ete chercher un hostal puis nous avons ete faire un tour de la ville, petite mais très sympa, nous avons ete nous renseigner pour les vols pour voir les fameuses lignes de Nazca...cependant 90 dollars le vol nous a laissé a reflechir...un peu beaucoup cher quand même. Du coup nous avons opté pour un tour organisé afin d'aller voir le cimetière de momies, les aqueducs et des ramparts incas; puis lorsque nous sommes revenus du tour vers 13h, j'ai ete me faire une tresse indienne dans les cheveux (enfin avec du fil de couleur quoi, voir photos) puis nous sommes allés par nous meme a un mirador (une tour de vue) ou l'on pouvait voir 2 grandes lignes de Nazca, c'etait toujours mieux que rien. Le soir nous avons retrouvé nos amis hollandais (Jessica et Vincent) de Huaraz, nous avons ete mangé ensemble , puis vers 22h nous nous sommes séparés de nouveau afin d'aller prendre un bus de nuit en direction de la ville d'Arequipa.

Nous sommes finalement arrivés le matin vers 8h30 à Arequipa, un taxi nous a deposé a la Plaza de armas (oui dans chaque ville la place principale s'appelle la plaza de armas) puis nous avons ete chercher un hostal.Par la suite, nous avons ete nous promener dans la ville, qui est vraiment magnifique! c'est très très touristique, y'a des français dans tous les coins de rue c'est incroyable!Nous avons gouté a de delicieuses glaces..on a craqué 2 fois dans le meme aprem

Nous avons egalement ete nous informer pour faire un trekk dans le colca canyon pour 2 jours, cependant c'est assez cher...du coup demain (vendredi 25 juillet) nous allons la bas de nous meme afin d'aller voir le canyon et les condors, ça va etre super j'en suis sure.
Oh, et nous avons aussi retrouvé nos amis français Aurore et Olivier dans un coin de rue de la plaza de armas, quelle coincidence, nous etions super contents de les retrouver! du coup ils sont partis hier soir pour Cuzco, et nous allons surement nous retrouver d'ici quelques jours là bas!
Ici le temps est magnifique, pendant la journée le soleil tape très fort, et le soir vers 18h il commence a faire très froid.
Ce matin (jeudi 24 juillet) nous avons visité le monastère de santa catalina ainsi que le musée de la princesse de glace (momie trouvée casiment intacte car conservée dans la glace en haut de la montagne).
